Who We Are The Williamson County African-American Chamber of Commerce began out of the concerns of a local business woman of color. She began to see that African Americans and many other people of color were under-represented in the economic, political and educational fabric of our county. Following the example of past entrepreneurs, our founder, Doris McDonald began to lay the foundation for Chamber. She understood the fact that our overall success is dependent upon our becoming an economic, political and educational force in our community. The Williamson County African-American Chamber was created and developed for this purpose. The Williamson County African-American Chamber of Commerce serves as an advocate for the creation, growth and general welfare of African-American businesses in Williamson County and surrounding communities. The Chamber actively promotes the expansion of business opportunities on behalf of its membership through referrals, partnerships, seminars, technical assistance, legislative communication, marketing and community involvement. Your membership is a vital component for our success - it's the only way we can make a difference!
